The level of deceit, recklessness, incompetence, and indifference to the things that really matter by the Bush Administration is so stunning (to the point of surrealistic) that it is hard to know at any given minute what to focus on:
Osama Bin Laden still remains alive? Unprovoked Invasions on defenseless nations? Torture of innocents? Loss of Civil Liberties? Wiretapping? Lethal Revenge against Whistleblowers? The mindless, barbaric Murder of 100,000s of Iraqi's (and calling that "freedom"), .. etc.
But I had an idea. What if all those
poor families who had to
go out on their own and seek out and
purchase with their own damn life
savings the appropriate protective
Body Armour needed for their loved ones or themselves serving in Iraq -- brought forward a
Class Action Law Suite -- because The United States Military (supposedly the
"greatest" Military outfit in the World) as led by George W. Bush (who prides himself at being called: "commander-in-chief") and Donald Rumsfeld
refused to properly and sufficiently protect their own servicemen in the field of battle (with their lives hanging in the balance) -?
It would be great to have to see George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld have to stand trial and take the Witness Stand and answer as to why they value soldiers lives so little as to start an unnecessay War (based on demonstrable lies), misusing them as mere cannon-fodder, and not even properly arm and equip them as they lie exposed in the field on battle.
In addition, how could a Judge just throw out the Law Suit when this War is an on-going event with real lives hanging in the balance?
This might be a good way to turn the heat up on this World-Tyrant & Torturer, Bush and Rumsfeld, in such a way that -- they cannot talk or lie their way out of. They would have to be found responsible. It was their War, their decision, and their arbitrarily dictated timetable. They would have to be found criminally negligant and obviously guilty.
After all, what possible answer would ever have any credibility to having sent our Nation's children into the field of battle -- without properly protecting & arming them?
This would demolish Bush's self-rightous "commander-in-chief" reputation in such a way that he would lose another full 10% of Independent Voters and possibly 5% of people who Identify themselves as Republican Voters as well.
A Class Action Suit would also have the momentum and inertia to be harder for the Mainstream Media to ignore.
Seems well worth it....
