Consider this a creative writing piece, more interesting than my other diary.

There is a knock on your door.
You answer.
You see: a strapping young lad, envelope in hand. You are impressed and distracted by his long hair, reminiscent of the 60's.
He introduces himself: "Hi, my names Jordan Wells and I'm raising money to fight hunger by participating in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine".

You are interested: You recall hearing somewhere that 29,000 kids across the globe die DAILY because of hunger.

You ask: Sure, how can I help?
Jordan replies: "Well, I'm participating in 30 Hour Famine at my churches youth group. We are raising money to..."
You cut him off to ask: What church?
He looks nervous: "Well.....Gingellville Community Church..."
You remember: I've heard of them...weren't you people standing on the corner of Clarkston and Indianwood protesting abortion?
Jordan rolls his eyes: "Ugh don't remind me...Don't worry, I wasn't there. Thats my next point actually. I'd like to prove a point. You see, I'm specifically going to liberal thinkers to raise money. I'm attaching a letter explaining how all the raised was through DailyKos.com to my donation envelope. Can you believe theres people at that church who believe us whacky liberals don't look out for the world the same way they, the "good christians", do? They are too close minded to look and research and watch us in action! They don't realize "good christians" aren't the only ones raising money for tsunami or Katrina victims!"
You interrupt his tirade: You mean they really think that? But I've done so much!
Jordan shrugs: "I know...but they haven't seen it! That's why my letter attached to my donation envelope will be such a big deal."
You reach into your wallet: So who do I make this check out to???

Can I get a group "Heh!" for text based RPG humor?

Anyway that's the deal...I'm raising money to fight hunger. My goal is $360 which will feed a child for a year. $1 a day. How many days can you chip in for?

Already, Kossacks have donated $180! Thats 6 months! 6 more $30 donations and I've met my goal. Smaller donations are OF COURSE welcome!!!

To contribute email JordanWells@gmail.com.
I can accept PayPal, checks, money orders, cash...Whatever.
If you would like to deduct your donation from your TAXES please indicate so in your email and include your mailing address. I can send a receipt from World Vision. I can even send receipts for paypal donations!

Thanks guys!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
