I have to admit when I heard Senator Hillary Clinton describe the Bush Administration as a "Plantation," I wasn't terribly surprise. First off, she was right, the old white men that are running the show have turned this country back to do the days where the poor will end up forking over most of the debt of President Bush's illegal war and other pleasantries. Though, I often described Bush's Administration as Crime Syndicate, with Fredo at the helm. But, what didn't surprise me was Senator Clinton, again, proving once and for all, without a shadow of a doubt, that she doesn't deserve the Democratic Presidential nomination for 2008.
But, unfortunately there are many who feel that the nomination is hers and should be hers, but why? Why, nominate someone who doesn't have a clear and concise vision for America and will go at great lengths to appease those who are in power and will continue to rollback all the progress that has been made for over the last 60 to 70 years. Oh, sure, Senator Clinton can talk a good talk and describe the Bush Administration as what they are. A 21st Century run of the mill "Plantation."
But what does that make the Democratic Party.
It seems that instead of fighting the masters of the Plantation and breaking down the doors to freedom, the Democratic Party has developed an Uncle Tom complex. Appeasing the Plantation owners at whatever cost. Just look at last year when Howard Dean, the man who could bring a great and clear vision for the Democrats, was lambasted by his own party for speaking the truth when he said that the GOP was the "White Christian party." Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, like good little boys and girls laid the smackdown on Governor Dean. The same man that brought back the fire to the Democratic Party in 2004.
The Democrats are split into different factions. One, that wants the party to return to its progressive roots, while the other is behaving more like a kinder, gentler Dixiecrat organization. And, of course, the Dixiecratic side is winning the battle for control.
While the drumbeats for war in Iraq grew louder, instead of asking the tough questions, the Democratic party went along and allowed George Bush to render in a new era of criminal activity in the White House. Oh, sure, the grand old excuse is the Dems in the wake of 9/11 didn't want to seem unpatriotic for asking the tough questions. Don't want to play politics when you had 3,000 people vaporized in front of your eyes on a beautiful Tuesday morning in New York City. They let it slide and the results in Iraq are troublesome. The bottom line is, asking questions about your Government in a time of war is the most Patriotic thing you could do for your fellow countrymen and woman who will no doubt be sent off to war to make an honest man out of a President who wasn't elected by the people the first time. The Democrats of this era are a bunch of suckers. Uncle Tom sucking buffoons with no clear vision. In 2000, Bush didn't need to steal the election. He should've lost anyways to a guy who was much more experienced and smarter than him. Hell, John McCain should've beaten Bush like a Government Mule, but good old Karl Rove, like the man-servant he is did every thing he could by smearing Senator McCain and look it what we got. But, I won't blame it all on Rove, the blame will have to go to Al Gore and The Dems in 2000 for trying to be something that they weren't and that was bible-thumping, moral-mongering freaks. And, for that we have another 3 more years, possibly another 7 of Republican rule in the White House.
The eyes on the prize is the White-bread of Middle America and the Democrats like the perverbial shark have a hankering for that. But, you can't win the game by playing the same game as your opponent and that's what seems to be going on the last few years with the Democratic party. Instead, of reaching out to their hertiage, they've reached out to the sycophantic ideology of Conservatism and 21st Century Dixiecrats. Progress hasn't been made its slowed down.
Senator Clinton was right the Bush White house is run like a Plantation, but that doesn't absolve her and the rest of her party for being the Uncle Tom to Bush's White House.
