With the seating of Samuel Alito all but assured we all have to ask ourselves if the Democratic Party is what we want in a party. As it is right now, I'm not too sure it is. While I love people like Al Gore and praise Chairman Dean, and applaud the recent efforts of John Kerry, I can't help but complain that the majority of office holders are a bunch of wimps.
For a long time the grassroots has complained about the lack of backbone. Nothing has happened. We get dismissed as fringe left wing wakos. Until we get the respect we deserve, why not go on strike?
Stop donating money, stop precinct coordinating, stop debunking right wing lies. Sure it could cripple the Party, but what the hell, it's not like they are doing much anyway.
But perhaps we should stop and think before doing anything brash.
