There is a word that the Democratic party appears to be utterly terrified of.
It's a word that we all know fits the current occupant of the white house, but no leading Democrat seems to be caple of speaking The Word.
I'm not afraid of The Word.
Liar.
Democrats can't bring themselvs to say that the president lied.
Tonight in Gov. Tim Kaine's timid SOTU response, he said that Americans received "misinformation" on the reasons we went to war in Iraq.
Bullshit, governor.
The American people didn't "receive misinformation."
They were lied to.
Blatantly. Repeatedly. Transparently. That's an objective fact, that only the delusional or the dishonest would deny.
Until the Democrats learn to deal with The Word - and other such truths that might make some people squirm - they are going to lose, lose, lose.
Tim Kaine's SOTU response was yet one more tragic example of the Democratic party pissing away an opportunity to fight back, score some political points, and most of all, provide the American people with an example of what makes them different from the criminals that hold power today: the ability to level with the public, without having to dance around the obvious with flowery language.
Why can't they bring themselves to utter the truth?
Does the Democratic party have some weird collective genetic defect that makes them congenitally incapable of acting as an opposition party? Sure looks like it to me.
