I thought I'd give all the permatemps on DailyKos a chance to vent. If you're being abused, exploited, etc., this is the place to tell your story.
Also, maybe you can help my wife figure out how to bill fro a trip she's going on.
In a couple weeks, she'll be heading out on a business trip to represent the company. Since she gets paid by the hour, it's not clear how much time she should bill for the trip.
In one sense, she's on the clock from the time she leaves our house for the airport until the time she comes home. This of course would encompass billing for a number of 24 hour days, which I expect the company would find ridiculous.
The other extreme would be to bill only for time spent at the client site.
And somewhere in the middle would involve billing for time traveling to the airport, waiting at the airport, sitting on the airplane, etc.
I guess it would be good to know both legally what she's entitled to do, and also typically what people in this same situation generally do.
Anyone know?
