Well the 50 State page is up to date and with candidate filings closed in Ohio and Indiana the unopposed scoreboard reads 6 Dems to 1 Repug (2 including Lugar in the Senate). Nice work. : http://www.barrywelsh.org/fiftystate/index.html In his diary: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/2/18/12428/6394 - Rex Freedom asks for confirmation for a candidate in Delaware. In fact there are quite a few where we are all waiting for confirmation of their candidacy.

Have a look below the fold for more.............

These guys may or may not be running. It would be terrible to discover that they weren't just before filing closes a la Seemann (so we thought). Any news, gossip, I spoke to his cousin etc would be appreciated.

CAN YOU HELP????

There are three tiers of Candidates that it would be great to confirm.

  1. Already Listed by 50 State Page - But I am not so sure
  2. Are we there yet? - Pretty certain just need confirmation.
  3. Watch this space - Possibilities

1)    Already Listed by 50 State Page
CA 42 - Lewis Myers - website under construction, hasn't filed yet.
FL 14 - Robert Neeld - Hasn't filed yet and his webpage (which talks about donating to other candidates in the 14th) hasn't been updated since July 2005 despite the auto date counter:http://www.neeldforcongress.com/ MI 6 - Who is Kim Clark?
MI 10 - Both Don Ritchie and Rob Casey seem to have ominously static web sites. I emailed one of them and got no response.

And finally:

Well as the dust settles in Ohio after candidate filing closed it seems we filled every district. What a fantastic job. A cautionary note however. The much publicized dramas of Charlie Wilson in the 6th motivated me to go looking for the other candidate filings in the 6th. NONE of the counties in the 6th (or 7th) have up to date filings but it seems that the other two Dems in the 6th are Bob Carr : http://www.bobcarr.org/ and John Luchansky. Joining in the 7th are William Conner and Dan Saks. It would be nice to be able to see web proof of their filings though twitches as this is after all Ohio.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
