Yesterday, I had the
audacity to post a diary about why I like Tom Suozzi in the NY GOV Democratic primary
here. I went out of my way to make it clear that I had nothing bad to say about Spitzer, and actually think he would also make a great Governor- I just like Suozzi more.
Most of the respondents disagreed with my position, and that is fine, as most of them engaged in a civil political discussion about their reasons for disagreement (even the ones who wrongly suspected I was an operative for the Suozzi campaign). Hence, the purpose of blogging. Until Armando decided to stop by.
His first comment was certainly not pleasant, but at least he tried to make a reasoned point, that I quoted from the New york Sun, a paper with a decidedly right-wing bent. Perhaps I did not make the best selection about the Sun, but selected a part of the story that mainly had quotes from New York politicians and about Sheldon Silver, because all of those things were in one compact article. However, Armando finished his comment with this:
My gawd man, either you are a fool or a knave.
Ok, not so bad to start with, But it gets worse. I held my tounge, and responded with quoting the NY Times about how Sheldon Silver sucks, and added my displeasure at his acrimony, but in a civil way:
Thanks for the civil discourse, Armando.
That's just really professional, I must say...And if you're gonna disagree with me, do it in a mature [way] without a childish temper tantrum.
I don't think that was out of line- do you?
In another comment, Tazz mentioned a previous anti-Suozzi post by someone Tazz called a Spitzer "hack." To this, Armando responded
Spitzer's hack?
Are you referring to me?
Well, you can go fuck yourself
I thought that was out of line, so even though he didn't direct that towards me, I responded, but still in a civil way with no cursing:
I wasn't the one who called you a hack but
you have a serious anger management problem there, buddy. Maybe you should try one of these.
The word "these" was linked to a page that had the definition of the word "sedative." I know, I'm a funny guy.
Armando, not appreciating my humor, replies:
Excuse me? Who fucking asked you anything?
Being the bigger man, I didn't even respond to this one, but Tazz did, only to say
You do have a serious anger problem.
Still civil. Armondo's response?
You have a serious lying problem.
Ok, at least no curses this time. 3rd grade-level response, but no curses.
A while later, I responded to another kossack's comment regarding Suozzi's contributions from sleazebag Ken Langone. All I did was point out that Spitzer also takes money from unsavory sources as well, and I said that this did not poorly reflect on either candidate, but rather the lax campaign finance laws of NY State. Armondo's response?
Lying now "same dirty money"? You are a fucking liar.
Troll.
After this, I just lost it and told him to go fuck his mother. I'm not proud of saying that, but I was damn tired of taking his completely immature and unprofessional explitive-laden abuse for hours.
So my question is... has anyone else on here been abused by Armando? Have you stories?
I'm sure that Armando will shortly swoop in, f-words a-flyin', but I don't really care. I'm going to sleep.
