The Hate-Bush crowd is making a racket over a newly released videotape that proves President Bush knew Hurricane Katrina could breach the levees in New Orleans. But, President Bush never claimed he didn't know the levees could fail. He never said that once! In fact, President Bush told reporters:
I don't think Anyone anticipated the breach of the levees.
Anyone is not President Bush. Anyone is a Washington bureaucrat who's been bungling things up since Mr. Bush came to office.
As many of you may recall, it was also
Anyone who did not predict the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. According to
Condoleeza Rice:
I don't think Anyone could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center.
Before the Hate-Bush crowd claims Anyone works for the administration, look at the facts. The Bush administration doesn't even know the guy. Recall that immediately after Hamas won the Palestinian elections, Condoleeza Rice told reporters:
I don't know Anyone who wasn't caught off guard by Hamas's strong showing.
Heck, if the Administration doesn't even know Anyone, it's safe to say Anyone's a Democrat. After all, only a Democrat would expect a bunch of terrorists to win an election!
There has been one person who's consistently predicted the outcomes of these tragedies. And that person is Nobody. Condoleeza Rice was the first to say:
...Nobody saw it coming.
Of course, Nobody saw it coming because Nobody can predict the future. That's why President Bush asked Nobody for advice before going to war. If he had asked Anyone, major combat operations in Iraq would not be over yet. Nobody can be trusted.
The Hate-Bush crowd also complains that President Bush didn't tell Anyone about the warrantless wiretapping. Thank goodness! Anyone has a terrible track record. That's why Mr. Bush told Nobody instead.
With President Bush's approval rating at 34%, we can at least feel comforted that Nobody is on Bush's side. Does Anyone have a problem with that?
