Election day is tomorrow. This race looks like it's going to be a squeaker. Kos has called it the perfect storm for the turncoat Henry Cuellar. It is an ideal race for the Kossack community to tip Henry over. There are no other races to divert our attention tomorrow. A few hundred votes massaged out of South San by us can pull it out for the progressive Ciro Rodriguez. We've pulled out our credit cards for Ciro, and helped make him competitive. Now it's time to pull out the votes for him.
Read how to do it on the flip.
Ciro's strength is in his home town of South San Antonio. Henry's is in his hometown of Laredo. The problem is that South San has a horrible turn-out rate in primaries (like 10% of the registered voters). The good news is that in South San you don't have to convince people to vote for their local champion (Ciro won Bexar County with 80% 0f the vote in the last cycle). You just have to remind and encourage people to vote. It is like working a campaign in heaven. The message is simply "please don't forget to vote -- and take your husband, daughter, and elderly mother with you". Moreover, it is a warm and humble community where you won't hardly be accused of bothering the household.
So here's the plan. Can we get 50 committed Kossacks to do remote phone banking from 9am to 6pm tomorrow? Fifty of us working 8 hours each can reach 10,000 households in South San. That will pull 2000 Ciro voters to the polls - easy. Can you join us? Will you join us? If so, call Tracy at (210) 928-2476 and ask her to email you a phone list. This community can make the difference in this race.
