Why would my wife and I move to South Dakota? I think it will become the retirement capital of the United States. (especially if everyone else does what I am planning on doing)
What is it you ask?
When someone on here mentioned that a large group of people thought about moving to South Dakota to influence the voting of a state that got me thinking.
Why can't my wife and I do something similar. If we can do it, why can't every other married couple. Here is what I am thinking...
My wife and I move to Sioux Falls, we both get jobs somewhere...minimum wage..whatever...we go to a fertility clinic and have 25 of my wife's eggs fertilized by my sperm. Guess what happens..... We now have life. We now have citizens of South Dakota. My family now went from 2 people to 27 people. Now, this family of 27 is having a hard time surviving on minimum wage. This family of 27 needs public assistance. I am thinking we are going to need energy assistance, food assistance, etc. etc. because 2 people working minimum wage just doesn't bring in enough income to support a family of 27. After we get all set up in every state program there is, I will invite every other couple I know to do the same thing. Maybe instead of 25 test-tubes, they choose 50 or 100 or 500. I am sure they can be stored at the clinic for future considerations. Talk about growing the population of South Dakota....we could be talking boom.
Now think about retired couples moving to South Dakota....living only on Social Security....now with 15 "kids" waiting for them at the fertility clinic..they can't possibly survive on what Social Security can pay them. Think of all of the dependents. If both pass away, which dependents would be entitled to any future benefit?
Am I blowing smoke? Take the poll.
