Hi everybody. I just wanted to post this diary to remind those of you I haven't already repeatedly hounded that tomorrow, yes 3/22, New York Kossaks will be meeting at Yaffa cafe to drink, eat cous-cous and talk about what a fucking doofus the chimp is.

Here are the details:

Yaffa's Tea Room (in TriBeCa NOT the East Village)
353 Greenwich Street (at Harrison)
Take the 1 or 9 to Franklin or the 2 or 3 to Chambers.
March 22 (solstice!)
6:30 until whenever

If you can't come until later, email me (see my profile) and I'll send you my cell phone so you can check and see if the party is still hopping. And if you haven't yet, email me so that I can add your name to the list for future meetups.

If your hesitating, don't. These events are pretty much just for fun and we won't make you sign a commitment to communism card until you attend at least three meetings. ; )

I'm not gonna go on and on about who is gonna be there except that the founder of this site--can't think of his name off the top of my head--has said we can expect him. Fucking cool, eh??

And one final thing. Tomorrow is not just the NYC Kossak meetup, it is also the birthdate of one fabulous frontpage Kossack, McJoan. It was her meetups in Seattle that inspired the start of the New York meetups so if you see her, please wish her a very very happy birthday.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
