I know Chris Matthews isn't necessarily the most popular pundit/talk show host around these parts, but I heard one of the best responses yet to the Republican retort "the media isn't telling the whole story" that I thought it was worth sharing so that others could use it--I thought it was that good.--The story after the flip
The transcript has not been released yet, but the guests today were Bob Shrum and Ben Ginsberg and Ginsberg was blabbing about how the media is not telling the whole story of the war in Iraq and is ignoring the good stories. Normally the media's response is, well tell us the good things that are happening. Instead Matthews asked, that if the administration wants the whole story about Iraq to come out how come they don't let cameras see the bodies come through Dover Air Base and show the impact that it has had on 2500 (Matthews Number not mine) families. Ginsberg was speechless!
For someone who never shuts up he had no response. He looked stunned and didn't know what to say until he admitted that is in an interesting thought. So when someone says the Media doesn't cover the whole story ask them why the administration doesn't want the whole story to include everything, like pictures of the dead returning home. I don't think they will have a response and maybe finally they will shut up.
