Well our friend Howard Kaloogian has
his Istanbul Baghdad picture with a pic that apparently really is from Baghdad. And here it is:
What does it tell us? Well it tells us that it is hardly downtown Baghdad, and appears to be more of an outlying (no pun intended) area of the city. What else does it say? That Baghdad is a city of concrete barricades and walls. Does it tell us anything else? well it strongly suggests that the closest that Howard Kaloogian ever got to being in downtown Baghdad, and proving how safe it was, was a picture taken from the plane on his way into the airport. (Based on the belief that if he had been in Baghdad he would have actually posted pics about the serenity there now that so much has been made about the pic he lied about.)
