TEN American soldiers killed in Iraq yesterday - this is in addition to the FOUR who were killed Saturday.
Please tell me, someone, if YOU were the casualty notification officer, how would you tell these 14 families that their loved ones were killed? What would be the "noble cause" you would give them for the deaths?
I no longer have my own personal dog in this fight, as our son is now back in the U.S., but the deaths outrage me nonetheless.
I also saw that the OIF casualty site is now reporting Iraqi Security Forces and Civilian Deaths

I guess that our 14 dead soldiers in 2 days are paltry compared to 83 dead Iraqi Security Force and Civilian deaths in 2 days - but one wonders whether those numbers would also be lower if the U.S. weren't propping up a group of expatriates who have been pretending to be a "government" for the past three years.
When is this bloodbath going to end?
