The date July 15, 2005. The Resident George W. Bush, vows that, anyone convicted in the CIA leak of Valerie Plame will be fired.
President Bush today appeared to raise the threshold for firing any White House official who leaked the identity of a covert CIA agent, saying he would dismiss anyone who "committed a crime" in the case.

Asked whether he still intends to fire anyone involved in the leak case "regardless of whether a crime was committed" and whether he was displeased that Rove told a reporter that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA, Bush said: "We have a serious ongoing investigation here. And it's being played out in the press. And I think it's best that people wait until the investigation is complete before you jump to conclusions. I will do so as well. I don't know all the facts, and I want to know all the facts."
Bush added, "I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts. And if someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration."
So now we understand why he wanted this to go quickly. "George if you are a man of your word, the country has a one-way ticket to Texas for you."
We all new it would eventually get back to Bush. Didn't we? With this in mind, why is Bush not in leg irons? Dick Nixon is starting to look like an angel wouldn't you say? I will bet you a dollar to a doughnut that they say, Bush made a mistake, and he is sorry. I have been saying since he took office {stole} that this is the only Resident that I can remember that everyone has to make so many excuses for. Why is it so many people on the right stickup for this man? Is it because he makes them feel smart?
As it stands The Resident can declassify documents, when he goes through the proper channels. Now we have a Resident that did not break the law, at least on this one instance.
BUT, and this is a Big But, was this done for political gain? We will undoubtedly find that this was to falsify intelligence for invading Iraq. Will this knock the Mushroom cloud statement on the canvas? Or will the people forgive the administration like they have in the past and will they repeat the same old rhetoric "We are there now and we have to finish it, and so what matters how we got there we did a great thing by liberating the Iraqis."
Court papers cited Libby as saying that he was told by Dick Cheney that The Resident authorized the outing of Plame. Reuters
The papers cited Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, as testifying to a federal grand jury that Cheney had told him that Bush authorized him to disclose information from a secret National Intelligence Estimate to a New York Times reporter in July 2003.
This brought a hard response from the left,
If the disclosure is true, it's breathtaking. The president is revealed as the leaker-in-chief," said Rep. Jane Harman of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
Ward Churchill Bitch-Slaps Hannity
(I apologize, this is from memory, but if you didn't see it, maybe Media Matters will have it.)
Last night must have been a `Blue Moon', because that's when I watch Hannity and Colmes, or anything on Fux for that matter. But as luck would have it I was channel surfing and happen to see Professor Churchill and David Horowitz standing side-by-side, so I stopped.
Sean was in his old form I noticed, by asking Ward a question and not letting him be heard by trying to out shout him. Hanity had asked him about his statement, that those who died in the towers were, "little Eichmanns inhabiting the sterile sanctuary of the twin towers". At first Churchill said that was not the topic he was asks to discuss, that he and David were there to talk about the debate they were holding at the college campus that night. [Sorry I tuned in to late don't know the school. The only thing Hannity had to come at Churchill with was that.
At one point Churchill's earpiece contently went out, just as Hanity went on a long diatribe on how the families of the victims were hurt by that statement. Churchill kept pointing to his ear, and saying I can't hear you, the sound is out, and Hannity kept yelling, sir you can hear me you just have nothing to say. Finally said, that he figured that Hannity just gave a long one-sided speech, while he couldn't hear him.
Then came Allen (I'm in a coma) Colems, the true defender of Liberals. (I think, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth,) He reached over and grabbed Hannity's manhood and said, I don't agree with everything you say, but you have the right to express your opinion. But won't you agree the people in the Towers were innocent? To which Churchill replied, are those babies that this country killed in Iraq innocent? It went on like that the rest of the segment. Except when Hannity ask Churchill if he would admit deep in his soul that he knows that those people were innocent? Churchill asks if he thought the so call Iraqi collateral damage were innocent? Hannity continued, to say something about prying for the Professor's soul, and Churchill said, I'll handle my soul thank-you very much, Sean. ABA
ps. This just in;News Hounds Bloged on the Churchill, Hannity, segment.
