In 1970 when the National Guard shot the students protesting at Kent State the Anti War Movement took a major turn.
That night Neil Young sat down and wrote "OHIO"
Tin soldiers and Nixon coming
We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
Four dead in Ohio
He call his band mates Stephen Stills, David Crosby & Graham Nash and they went into Sunset Sound and recorded the song THE NEXT DAY.
By early the next week radio stations had received their advanced copies of the 45 rpm single of "Ohio".
A week after the Kent State shootings his blistering tune was being played over the air across the United States.
The Jacket for the record was a reprint of the Constitution Of The United States Of America.
Well Neil's back with his new song "Let's Impeach The President."
Here is a wonderful interview with Neil in front of Reprise Records in Burbank California.
Please watch a true artist explain why he writes.
Enjoy.
