I took the plunge and registered for YearlyKos, but I'm not going to let my progressive political desires get in the way of
World Cup 2006! If there are any dKos members who will be at YearlyKos that would like to try to find a place to watch the games, let me know!
Organization and Game Schedules, below...
UPDATE: Looks like the general consensus is to wander over to the Hilton to watch the games in their sports book.
I figure it's going to be
packed with people looking to sit and watch the games, so it may be hard to find anywhere with open seats. Most all of the large casinos have big areas to sit and watch televised sports and bet on them while being served free drinks. I suspect that in order to hope for a seat in one of those plush settings, we'd have to get there very, very, early.
However, I've only been to Vegas a couple of times, so there may be much better places to watch the games, even if one has to pay for their own drinks! It would be easy enough to place one's bets at the Riviera and then head out to another venue such as a sports bar or some Irish bar out on the outskirts of town or something.
Anyone more experienced with Vegas have any ideas as to where to watch?
