BLACKWELL WINS GOVERNORSHIP,
DEWINE REELECTED,
DEMS LOSE HOUSE SEATS
Headlines,November 8
This will be the news the day after the election if Democrats don't begin immediately to combat the double whamo of Kenneth Blackwell controlling the voting process and Diebold counting the votes in Ohio.
As the recent primary and the 2004 election proved, patterns of voting abuses in Ohio keep reappearing and are not likely to disappear this November. Democrats must decide now how to stop delays, malfunctions and other voting irregularities from happening in Cuyahoga County.(Why not add many more voting machines?) Democrats should also figure out how to monitor the vote count in Republican held areas in the southern part of the state. Finally, what is the plan to stay on top of questionable Diebold tabulations? Are any court cases pending against Blackwell and Diebold regarding the upcoming election?
Given his record, Blackwell will use every device in the book to get elected.Teams of lawyers should be lined up, poll watchers trained and retrained, flying squads prepared
to step in at the earliest reports of irregularities.
It's not too early to start planning to avoid a November debacle.
