Because I work for a living and have to get up early, I got the jump on tomorrow's op-ed from Richard Cohen. No, I don't plan to link to it, because people should avoid reading his nonsense.
I just wish I could stop.
In a steaming wordpile not even suitable for raising nightcrawlers, Cohen has again demonstrated that the editorial board of the Washington Post supports employing the mentally challenged. I just wish his role there was to keep the coffeemaker filled, instead of periodically filling a column with craptastic misinformation.
Why I can't stop looking, I do not know.
Tuesday's piece is entitled "Digital Lynch Mob", referring to..., well, is it any surprise he means us? Seems he was shocked at the intensity with which a reality-based community challenges his latest role as Colbert critic.
Like I expected anything different from Cohen, but still I checked.
Just for "fun", let's expose some of Cohen's statements:

- Colbert isn't important since his show has a smaller audience than "American Idol".
- Thousands of angry e-mails mean trouble for Democrats in 2008.
- The antiwar wing of the Democratic Party helped elect Richard Nixon.
- The antiwar wing of the Democratic Party managed to prolong the very war they so hated.
- War critics are so hyped on their own sanctimony that they will obliterate distinctions, punishing their friends for apostasy and, by so doing, aiding their enemies.
- Iraq is a war its critics will lose twice -- once because they couldn't stop it and once more at the polls.

I can't deconstruct his ridiculous blather. It is not worth risking harm to billions of electrons. Cohen is not W's lapdog. He is simply a fool.
This diary, however, is a plea for help... HELP ME STOP READING RICHARD COHEN!
HELP!!!
