The Wall Street Journal, which earlier ran a
story on the Harris Interactive Poll (showing Bush's approval at 29%) is about to release a corrected follow up.
An exerpt as follows:
We would like to issue a correction to our story Bush Dips Into the 20s we ran earlier today. It appears that there was a dictation error that resulted in us reporting that President Bush's approval rating had fallen to 29%. In fact that should have stated that the President's approval rating has fallen to just 29 people, not percent.
It appears that the President is one of his own top 29 supporters in addition to his mother, previous first lady Barbara Bush. His father, former President Bush appears to not be one of those 29 because the lower his son falls in approval ratings the more favorable his own presidency will be viewed. Other notable non supporters include; brother Jeb Bush who does not want to inherit his brother's mess even though W keeps endorsing him, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice who believes if the President is impeached she will be able to go after her dream job of NFL commissioner, as well as the President's daughters who were too drunk to know 'what a president is'. It appears the other 27 supporters may really be a glitch in the Diebold voting system Harris Interactive uses.
We regret any confusion this may have caused.
