By the way, Bush pronounces Urgent as Ergent, at least that's what he wrote on his napkin!
Did anyone watch the entire speech from the President? Is it worth watching? I watched the first few minutes at CSPAN.org and within about 5 minutes he had referred to this immigration situation as "Urgent" and a "matter of national security". Or maybe I fast forwarded to far and passed the segway into uninspected cargo containers, or maybe Saddam escaped from his pet carrier.
Anyhow, I'm glad he's finally seen the light. We couldn't hold them off forever, waves of armed, angry, violent Mexicans coming across the wall, talking our least desireable jobs at gunpoint, raping our wives, murdering our children, and then cleaning it all up at minimum wage. It's really only Mexico we need to worry about. The rest of Central and South America will go around. And the Asians still have that boat thing going on. Now it's time to focus on those Canadian son's of bitches. Sharing our power grid, what's up with that?
Is he going to crack down on illegal hiring? Is someone going to be stripped of their right to drink lemonade on a hot summer day?
Just for the record, I am pro border regulation. But not under his bullshit umbrella. I also don't buy the details of our arguement such as "putting them (The National Guard) in harms way". If the National Guard can't defend us from a bunch of unorganized, uneducated, peaceful people coming here to work, WHAT CAN THEY DEFEND US FROM?
