Ho hum. Republicans are at it* again.
This time in Colorado's CD-5, which contains Colorado Springs, The Broadmoor (home of Bush's come to Jesus bender), and F..F..Fo.....Focus on the Family - power base of the infamous child psyche James Dobson.
But, when you're party leader is at 64% disapproval in what was a solid red State and is busy squandering the Latino vote you worked so hard to build;
when you're local congressional candidates are getting endorsed by the KKK;
when your Senators are busy trashing the Constitution, in the closet, in the back, in the dark;
what the heck else do you have besides dirty tricks?
Nixon professionalized them, Rove perfected them, and the
Republicans thrive on them.
Now with Jay Fawcett cracking 50% in the polls, and Dobson pushing 2 to 1 disapproval (heh), the Republicans resort to the only thing they have left.
Marketplace of Ideas? No.
Standing on principle? No.
Cutting your opponents internet connection? YES. What did the office manager say? "It was a clean cut." Hard to cut a cable modem wire if you're not trying.
It is predictable, a little bit sad, and definitely desperate. For all the whining about "rule of law" and "adults in charge", why is it the Republicans are always doing stuff like this?
Or maybe it's just a disgruntled DirectTV salesman. Who knows?
