That is, it takes a resident of Pennsylvania to represent Pennsylvania in the Senate.
What part of that does he not get? Perplexing, indeed.
(edited) I'm sure everyone who comes across this diary is fully aware of the situation with Rick Santorum and where he may and certainly does not live. I wrote this little addition to the whole worn out story because a clip I heard of him over at C&L got me thinking. This alone should be enough to at last rid our state of such a worthless Senator..
Just listen to how he
defends himself (hat tip to C&L.) It is clear that there, in fact "is no furniture" in his supposed homestead. Thanks for that paranoid slip-up, Dick.. sorry, Rick.
Santorum: "...the guy trespassed on my property and looked in my window. "
Rumor has it that he actually lives
here, in Virginia, as opposed to
here, in Penn Hills, Pa. That is, unless Rick is actually one of those "flakey liberals" who lies around on the floor all day saying "Having furniture is what the establishment Wants you to do, meeaan," or, "Let the grass grow free, meeaan" (and so on and so forth.)
Fact is, folks, this man is a complete self-centered douche. Even more, he is a perpetual stain on the integrity of Pennsylvania politics. Amazingly, he manages to do all this whilst NOT EVEN LIVING IN PENNSYLVANIA
I know I'm-a-preaching to the choir here. However, I am privy to the knowledge that Rick Santorum, Uber-douche, reads blogs like Daily Kos regularly. Plus, I get to share in unburdening myself of all of my ill feelings for this louse within the confines of a friendly audience.
Mr. Santorum should be inundated with snarks like this every day. After all, because I live in PA, I have more right to be a PA. Senator than he ever would in his wild sexless dreams.
Here's to you, Rick.. You greasy headed bastard!
PS: I send this in every letter I write to him... It's a great little nugget from a great little book I read:
"The corruption of realism or idealism can be called moralism-the most popular rival and impostor of genuine morality. Morality and ethics (the Greek derivative with the same meaning) has to do with right or wrong behavior in all spheres. It is a discipline of ends and means. However, primitive or sophisticated, all moral systems define normative ends and acceptable rules for achieving them. Moralism, on the other hand, is a sham, morality, a partial ethic."
