So Google has recently introduced Google trends where you type in a term and see what regions/cities are searching a term the most. Here's an example using DailyKos
http://www.google.com/...
Activity was highest in November, 2004 (probably because many were returning over and over again, I suspect--not on number of people--or that many of us then who just discovered it did not remember the web address), and since there's been a steady increase . . . people are looking for us.
Now, the top ten cities are interesting there are:
1. Washington, D.C. (Could political insiders, politicians, congresspeople, etc. be looking for us? There may be some faith, yet)
2. Reston, VA (okay. Who's here from Reston. Admit it. Be sure to write it down: www.dailykos.com)
3. San Francisco, CA (of course, that liberal area. That's to be expected :P )
4. Madison, WI
5. Seattle, WA
6. Austin, TX
7. New York NY
8. Minneapolis, MN
9. Cambridge, MA
10. Portland, OR
Is your city being misrepresented? Well, it could just mean people in your city remember the URL, that's all. :)
But it does give insight as to who is looking for us.
