A little food for thought -
According to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in 2003, the year the Iraq war started, the average household income in Iraq was around US$255 (366,000 Dinars)
The CIA World Factbook says the population of Iraq is 26,783,383.
A UNDP Survey found there were 6.4 people per household in Iraq.
So Iraq has around 4,184,903 households. In 2003 they made an average of US$255/yr each.
The Iraq war has currently cost more than US$286,000,000,000.
Or around US$68,340 for every Iraqi household.
Let's put this in perspective.
According to the US Census Bureau, in 2003, the median household income in the United States was US$44,473, or about 174 times that of a household in Iraq.
So for an Iraqi household, giving them US$68,340 is roughly equivalent to giving an American household US$11,891,160.
If I gave you $11 million dollars instead of bombing you, would you love me?
