Corrupt and Hypocritical
A major Republican campaign contributor's company is up on charges of hiring illegal immigrants!
After hearing the NPR story about a raid on a homebuilder in Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati that was hiring illegal immigrants I decided to look into this story a little closer. Turns out that the owner of the homebuilder and his wife are major donors to Republicans all across the country.
Fischer Homes, a major Cincinnati area homebuilder with over $200 million in sales last year, got raided and busted for hiring illegal immigrants to build homes. Four supervisors for the company were arrested in addition to the subcontractors.
Link to Story 96 illegal immigrants were arrested also. Two of the illegals had been in the country for less then two weeks!
Link to Story The illegals are being held in jail until the trials (which are scheduled at this time for July) because they are considered to be a flight risk. The company is defending itself in two ways: 1. It was the subcontractors that hired the illegals. 2. The authorities said they were looking for a murder suspect, when in reality they were looking for illegals.
Company Statement
It just so happens that with a little bit of looking on the FEC website brings up the fact that Henry Fischer gave $90,500 to Republican candidates and the Party since 1997. NO money to Democrats. If you add in his wife Elaine and the PACs they have contributed to you get: $106,350. I also found some other employees of Fischer Homes that had contributed exclusively to Republicans. Robert Hawksley, President and CEO: $10,175. James Wigger, CFO: $1,250. Teresa Gittner Kraft, Sales Manager: $1,500. Nobody that I could find had given any money to Democrats.
Grand Total of Contributions Exclusively to Republicans from Top Executives at Fischer Homes: $119,275
The real story here is that a major Republican donor knowingly hires illegal immigrants to work for him.
It really pisses me off that these corrupt Republicans are exploiting illegal immigrants to make money and then turn around and give that money right back to the Republican Party!
I'm thinking of a call to action to protest this company. Fischer Homes has a bunch of "Block Parties" coming up to help sell their homes. These events include food and prizes! Company Website Anybody out there from Cincinnati? Want to organize a protest at these events? I'm waiting for the minutemen to show up at these events! This is where they should be, not sitting useless down on the border!
