One of the big no-no's when it comes to electioneering is coordination of 527 activities with a campaign with the specific intent of defeating or electing a candidate. That's one of the questions facing the State Board of Elections as they determine whether to hold hearings on Richard Morgan's complaint against Republican Legislative Majority, Inc., which is Art Pope's election-buying company. The puppets claim no such coordination occurred, but the record seems to indicate otherwise.<!--break-->
The first document below is the top section of an email included in the SBOE exhibits, from one Claudia Rogers. She appears to be informing a person named Heather Royster of Variety Stores and a lawyer named John Blust about an emailing put out by the Morgan campaign. (Click to see larger image.)

This second document is the response from John Blust that was sent back to Rodgers about an hour later.
And who is John Blust? Besides being one of the Puppetmaster's water boys in the NC House, he was also a registered agent of RLM at the time of this exchange. You can read more about him here where you'll learn he's a Bible teacher. (Note to John: Does god know you're also an electioneering crook?)
And who is Claudia Rodgers? That's harder to tell. She's listed as a member of the NCGOP Executive Committee (right under Art Pope, ironically) and appears to be an occasional commenter on the blog for NC Spin, where John "the Stagemanager" Hood is a Puppet Pundit. Scroll down on this post or this one and you'll see her footprints.
So there you have it, Pope Puppet Rodgers on the GOP Executive Committee sending emails to RLM agent Blust and Variety Stores Puppet Royster about Richard Morgan campaign activities. I don't know about you, but to my sensitive nose, this whole mess stinks to high heaven.
What on earth is the SBOE waiting for?
