I saw this posting on dcpoliticalreport.com about Ralph Regula's questionable earmarking of $2mil to the National First Ladies Library in his district, which is of course run by his wife. I decided to investigate what yet another potentially corrupt politician was all about, so I went to regulaforcongress.com, his re-election campaign site. Looking toward the bottom of the page, I saw this:
Your Congressman, effectively representing Ohio
and the 16th District's concerns in Washington
Paid for and authorized by the Regula For Congress Committee, Mary Regula, Chair,
228 S. Washington, Ste. 115, Alexandria, VA 22314
Now, pray tell, where is Congrssman Regula representing, when his campaign committee is not even based out of his district? This has to be a first, as most (if not all) other congressmen and women base their re-election committees out of their congressional district. This not only suggests incompetance, but also the complete disregard for his district. Too bad his district is so strongly GOP; maybe then he would feel the need to stop on by the 16th.
