The NY Times which has a pathological masochistic streak once again gave in to its need to humiliate and debase itself by giving Rod Paige a forum for stupidity and hypocrisy. Paige ends his column with a common political bromide "When it come to educating our children, we should all put politics aside." Who could take issue with that? Apparently Rod Paige does that's who.
Paige begins his word dribbling with an attack on liberals "Dumb liberal ideas are a dime a dozen. . . I battled against all sorts of progressivist lunacy . . . " you get the idea.
How does such a clear cut case of hypocrisy get such prime real estate? Is the requirement for an op-ed piece staggering intellectual dishonesty? If so this piece (of sh**) will be hard to beat. For Paige goes on to decry educational consultants--and of course there is nothing wrong with that per se--but his current job is, guess what!? Chairman of Cantwell Education Group--a CONSULTING COMPANY.
