More in a grassroots video series about Bob Fitrakis, Green Candidate for Ohio's Governor...

The Fitrakis Files, Part Three:  Stealing Progressive Votes?

If J. Kenneth Blackwell is so bad, why run as a progressive third party--arguably stealing votes from Blackwell's Democratic opponent, Ted Strickland?  Listen to Bob Fitrakis take on this question, and others, as he makes a case for how the Democratic Party has purged itself of its progressive wing.

The Fitrakis Files, Part Four:  The Cult Connection

Dr. Bob Fitrakis on how politicians may use far-right Christian cults for money-laundering purposes--includes connections between Ohio's Republican candidate for Governor, J. Kenneth Blackwell, and Rod Parsley, the cult of character, dominionists, etc.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Progressive = moron in this case.

As usual, Greens are so busy shooting themselves and the rest of us in the foot, they don't realize what a disaster they are causing.

In the light of today's SC ruling on re-apportionment, Greens MUST re-evaluate their strategy.  When we lose control of an office like governor, we lose a vital component of the re-apportionment process.

Fitrakis must withdraw.  Nothing else is acceptable.

Never, seemingly. They are willing to risk putting into office perhaps the most dangerous fanatic in American politics, Kenneth Blackwell, for the sake of ideological purity.

Greens already did hideous damage to America in 2000 by voting for Nader instead of Gore. Now, they propose to unleash Blackwell on us. My GOD.

  •  Ohio recount (0+ / 0-)

Well, you know who looked pretty idiotic in 2004?

It wasn't the Green Party, or Cobb, or those who wanted a recount.  It turned out to be Kerry and the assholes in the Dems that wanted the whole thing to go away.  It was the assholes who conceded before anyone was ready to call it a done deal.

When will the Dems learn?  When will they quit holding idiots like Lieberman up as leaders?

How dare you idiots claim we shouldn't have a third party?  How dare you morons sit around claiming how important netroots are, but they shouldn't be allowed to run against career politicians when it might put an office like gov. at risk.  It's ok for Lieberman's campaign, but not when someone runs against a career democrat.   (Only netroots dems can do that, not third parties?)

Why must Fitrakis withdraw?  Now I think he shouldn't be running myself, but why the hell would you be demanding a netroots candidate witdraw and that nothing else is acceptable?????
