The 7th Congressional district of Georgia has a choice in who to vote for this November. Allan Burns is on the ballot!
Mr. Burns is a life long Georgian, who has been a general contractor and small business owner in the metro area for the last 18 years. Prior to opening his business in 1979, he worked for Dekalb County Planning Department for 7 years. Mr. Burns has Had Enough, and has decided to run for the U.S. House of Reps. seat currently held by John Linder. The opportunity to cast a vote for a Democrat in Gwinnett and Walton Counties, with portions of Newton and Barrow Counties included in the 7th District, may disappear without the help of some determined Democrats.
I Need Determined Democrats to help get the word out that there is a choice. The Democrats of the 7th District will not be giving the election to our Republican opponents, not this year...again. We will stay, and we will fight! Take up the weapons of politics, sharp tounges and sharper minds. I need your help. Volunteer to help phone bank next week. Tell me which neighborhood you can walk through and tell your neighbors, I will help you with yard signs and campaign literature. We also have bumper stickers, so visit the website and send us an email.
Visit our website, which we have every intention of making more interactive as soon as funds allow, at www.allanburns.com (Tips for website improvements are welcome in the comments section, Thanks.)
Do anything you can, but please send us an email, sign up for our email list, and spread the word. If you have a personal phonebook compiled, reach out and get Mr. Burns elected by reminding your friends and family about the primary and the general in November.
We are way behind, those of you who are, like me, political junkies are probably already saying that under your breath as you read this. I could not sit on the sidelines this election, angry as I am about the state of affairs this Nation finds itself in. I am a political neophyte whos' candidate is also a neophyte, we just know there are many things wrong with the current excuse for so-called leadership.
Help me get a good man elected to Congress. Gwinnett County and the 7th District should be represented by a Democrat! Just look at the new redistricting! We can make this happen, and right now! And don't forget that Georgia used to be a Blue State, it can be again.
