As Kos
recently announced, the Democrats received some good news from the 22nd District this morning.
Although Tom Delay recently resigned his seat and withdrew from the upcoming race to fill it, his name will remain on the ballot, U.S. District Judge [Sam] Sparks ruled today. The ruling could "help Democrats win this key seat," Reuters reported today.
Texas Republicans quickly responded they would appeal the decision by the U.S. court in Austin, Texas, for the right to choose another Republican to run against Democrat Nick Lampson. The seat is crucial to Democratic hopes to pick up the 15 seats needed to regain control of the House of Representatives.
