Remember a couple of weeks ago when the Department of Homeland Security slashed the anti-terrorist funding for New York and California? The
New York Times now reports on which States received the bulk of that money under the DHS's National Asset Database. Believe itor not, Indiana, the self-appointed Crossroads of America, has the most terror targets of any State in the Country with 8,591. New York has 5,687 and California 3,212. What does Indiana have that New York and California don't that intrigues Al Qaeda? Petting Zoos!
According to the Times:
It reads like a tally of terrorist targets that a child might have written: Old MacDonald's Petting Zoo, the Amish Country Popcorn factory, the Mule Day Parade, the Sweetwater Flea Market and an unspecified "Beach at End of a Street."
Perhaps that Beach is the Secure Undisclosed location?
Confronted with these high-level targets the DHS stated:
"We don't find it embarrassing," said the department's deputy press secretary, Jarrod Agen. "The list is a valuable tool."
Indeed, Al Qaeda's malfeasance doesn't stop at their hatred of petting zoos, witness these other epicenters of freedom for which they hate us:
In addition to the petting zoo, in Woodville, Ala., and the Mule Day Parade in Columbia, Tenn., the auditors questioned many entries, including "Nix's Check Cashing," "Mall at Sears," "Ice Cream Parlor," "Tackle Shop," "Donut Shop," "Anti-Cruelty Society" and "Bean Fest."
Luckily the grownups have been in charge to protect us all this time.
