really, it is.
it's mutated into something that can only be described as "money for nothing and chicks (and more often then you think, dicks) for free".
let's take the trials of one joseph lieberman, senator - conneticut state.
it seems as if he's being nipped and tucked by a challenger, ned lemont.
the question is why should senator lieberman keep his job?
why indeed?
if you are a citizen of conn., why would you vote for lieberman?
do you owe your job to him? is the reason you have water, electricity, gas and telephone service mr. liberman's doing? did he provide you the roof over your head?
if your teenage son, who's a good guy, gets drunk with his friends and crashes your car into a lamppost and is arrested, can you go to joe's office and say, "sir, my son joey is in a bit of a jam. he got cited for a dui. i wholloped his ass good, with more to come, but he's accepted at rutgers and this'll get him rejected. he's a good kid. can you help me?
and oh, you're not "j.p. moneybags III".
if your answer to these very basic questions is no,
why would you vote for him?
why will he be re-elected; and he will be, but why?
if the democrats need 51 seats to control the senate, does it not count if lieberman isn't among them? is a novice senator worth only 1/2 a senate vote on a bill?
or is it because america's democracy is a sham and a fraud? that only monied interests are served?
or could it be something else?
could it be that americans are in such a deep slumber that they don't know when they are getting laid,
or being buggered?
your comments are valued.
have a nice american day!
