Those interested in learning a little more about the state of Israel could do worse than listen to Matthew Yglesias offer his take in an excellent, non-commercial
diavlog with Amy Sullivan.
Passions run hot here at Daily Kos.
So if a little comedy mixed with serious analysis is on order..
...and you're discerning enough to recognize this diary for what it is: a transparent plug for my own favorite video diavlog website, then continue; illuminating diversion is a mere

Robert Wright eviscerates Bush, the neo-cons and takes a few choice shots at Joementum, "throw him to the sharks" is how Bob puts it, as I recall.
The gross green color of the bloggingheads.tv welcome screen gives the lie to any suggestion Bob is running a professional operation over there. Quite the opposite. Indeed, that's what makes the place so great. Pure grassroots with luminaries like Matthew Yglesias taking the helm on a regular basis.
Matt's discussion with Amy Sullivan on Israel and Hezbollah is particularly timely. Sullivan just returned from Israel where she got the lay of the land, hiking towards Syria in the mountainous Golan Heights.
Mickey Kaus haters can actually put the boot in. One of the more comical aspects of bloggingheads.tv is Bob Wright's hopeless attempts to drum up venture capital for his online experiment. Searching for a business model and bantering with Mickey Kaus has invited some readers to suggest the two resemble "Oscar and Felix", the two clowns of "Odd Couple" fame. Oscar is the lovable "slob" and Felix is the "neat freak". Mickey and Bob are actually soliciting email responses, asking viewers to offer up opinions. They may have stumbled on their model after all. A disproportionate number of Kaus fans have sent in their responses. Here's your chance to send Mickey an email he's sure to read and even the score, if you get my drift.
Tune in. It's great. Robert Wright may actually have written the manifesto for Democratic victory. As for bloggingheads, after a momentary stumble, Bob has rediscovered a welcome willingness to admit it when he's short of facts. Get on over and check it out.
