The results are in, and it seems the good folks at redstate have agreed: antisemitism at dailykos.

Over 40 hits and the night is still young. Over 600 here at dailykos. I have hit a nerve. The contrast is stark: raw nerves versus cool minds. Whereas at redstate I have touched off a sober round of rational-critical debate, over here at dailykos it is a vicious and unthinking brand of slugfest. I merely brought up something to think about and the defense mechanisms sprang into battle. Even if we disagree, can't we be civil? In the spirit of scholarly debate (which is the level on which I want to keep it), the scholar Daniel Pipes has an explanation of this trend, which I will include for you below.
Pipes weighs in:
"The Democratic coolness toward Israel fits into a larger pattern of conspiracy theories about neo-conservatives and anti-Jewish outbursts by such party luminaries as Jimmy Carter, Jesse Jackson, Cynthia McKinney, and James Moran. One observer, Sher Zieve, concludes that among Democrats, "anti-Semitism is and has been on the rise" for some time."

All I am saying is that you people seem unusually averse to the candidacy of Joe Lieberman, and I wonder why. That's it. Not complicated and not controversial. Just something to think about. And what occurs is a slugfest.
