And really, all news shows should do this, releasing the full transcript of the interview. Editing is important on television, so having the full context available is really the smart thing to do for news organizations that want to present news as fairly as possible.
Now check out this extraordinary paragraph on CNN's politics page: The Middle East crisis is giving President Bush a second chance to be a peacemaker and, however counterintuitive, an unexpected new chance to make headway on his grand goal of leaving the Middle East more democratic than he found it. That one belongs in the time capsule, doesn't it? Anyone by chance recall Bush's first effort to be a "peacemaker"? Me either. I do, however, vaguely recall him initiating a war of choice on false pretenses that has left over 2,500 Americans dead and many tens of thousands severely wounded. Maybe in the world of CNN war is peace, as the Orwellian phrase has it. It's also worth pointing out that the Bush administration has actually rebuffed calls for the U.S. to push for a cease-fire.

I just wanted to say that I saw the interview that the editor of this website did with ABC nightline last night. I just wanted to say that I support the President and the Republican party. I also support the wars in Afganhanstain and Iraq. I think its better to take the fight to terrorist instead of them taking the fight to us and killing more Americans on our on soil. I think if a Democarat would be in office right now we would probbaly lose more freedoms then we already have because they would have abrought the troops home. Everyone has to realize that freedom is not free. The only reason we went to war with the Taliban is because they were hovering Al Qaida which was the terrorist organization that planeded and carried out the 9/11 attacks and killed over 3,000 Amerciacans. On Iraq I am actually glad we went ahead and went to war because what would of happened if Saddam actually had WMD and living in a post 9/11 world its better to be safe than to be sorry. Thats all I have to say.
While I originally wrote that this was "hilariously stupid", I've changed my mind. It's more tragic than anything else.
