Feel free to paste this into your profile, away message, emails, heck, even MySpace account and
recommend it - it gets the point out to everyday Democrats why it's important to have Joe Lieberman drop out of the race.
Help out Ned Lamont! Lamont won the Democratic primary last night against incumbent Senator Joe Lieberman, but Lieberman refuses to heed to the will of the voters of Connecticut and is vowing to run as an independent, which means that Democrats will have to spend time and money to work defeating Lieberman when they could be helping fight for Democrats facing Republican incumbents across the country to get a Democratic majority in the House and Senate.
You can help! Call your Democratic Senators and Congressman (Click here to find out who they are and then call 888-355-3588 to be connected toll-free), and tell them to:
1. Publically support Ned Lamont as the winner of the Democratic primary,
2. Call on Joe Lieberman to drop his independent bid which is hurting Connecticut and the Democratic Party, and,
3. Campaign and fundraise with Lamont (if you have a prominent Senator/Congressman) against Joe Lieberman and the Republican challenger.
What if all my Senators/Congressmen are Republicans? If they are, or even if they aren't, a very helpful call you can still make is to:
- Call Harry Reid (202-224-3542) and Howard Dean at the DNC (202-863-8000), and tell them to strip Senator Lieberman of all his Committee posts, as he is no longer working for the Democratic Party.
