This is more in the nature of a diary rescue.
el cid's Diary this morning gave an excellent explanation of where Mexico is today in the electoral process. The partial recount of about 9% of ballots began this morning and protests are continuing. This morning several banks were blockaded. The US press described it as a blockade on "foreign banks", obviously trying to suggest that that AMLO is a dangerous leftist who wants to expropriate foreign business. Unfortunately, except for one, all banks in Mexio are foreing owned, so they didn't have much choice.
There was a strangely balanced life Q&A with Professor John Ackerman, Institute for Legal Research, National Autonomous University of Mexico
link at Washington Post. He is clearly in favor of a complete recount and thinks either that or an annulment are still possible.
