I had an epiphany about how Karl Rove keeps Democrats ineffective. He using overt discrimination against Liberals to keep Liberals weak. I learned about discrimination from Frontline's "A Class Divided" episode recounted teacher Jane Elliott's experiment on discrimination with her third grade class in Riceville, Iowa. Following Martin Luther King's asassination, she gave her students a taste of what discrimination feels like. She artificially divided her class of white Iowa farm children into blue-eyed and brown-eyed kids.
Jane Elliott later did this experiment with Iowa Corrections Department employees. In the adult case, the brown-eyed adults were viewed as superior to the blue-eyed adults. Watch the last segments on the adult experience but mentally substitute "Conservative" for "brown-eyed" and "Liberal" for "blue-eyed."

This is Karl Rove's way of handling America; he's artificially divided us into Conservative and Liberals. According to him, Conservatives are good, patriotic, defenders, smart, godly, strong, and decisive. Liberals are labled "bad", "waffling", "in league with al Queda types", "indecisive", "ungodly", "cut-and-run", and "weak cowards". The MSM has picked up this chant and it's repeated in daily news reports, so much so that "liberal" has become a bad word, just as "brown-eyed" did in Jane Elliott's third grade classroom. During the debrief, those discriminated against said they felt, "My group here was not boisterous enough in opposition." "I felt powerless, I had a sense of hopelessness." I've felt this way as a Liberal. Now I know the problem is Karl Rove's overt oppressive discriminatory practices against Liberals. I think it got to Senator Leiberman.
I don't know how to overcome discrimination, except to stand up against it as loudly and boisterously as possible.
