Pennsylvania voters have a golden opportunity to take back control of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Voters are still furious about legislators' voting themselves a pay increase - and there are more Republicans than Democrats. One Republican representative who has to go is Kate Harper, currently representing PA's 61st House district in Montgomery County.
The 61st district includes all or part of Plymouth, Whitpain, Upper and Lower Gwynedd, Towamencin and Montgomery Townships. Kate Harper has created a reputation as a moderate, concerned with the environment. And she started out with a near 90% rating from the PA League of Conservation Voters However, her most recent rating from early 2005 is a dismal 43%. Moreover, she's not only anti-choice, but does not support funding for family planning. And Kate voted for the pay increase. Clearly, it's time to send Kate home.
Ron Stoloff is running on the Democratic ticket. This is his first run for office, but he's good on environmental and civil liberties issues and other issues dear to Kossacks. Check out his website:

Ron is running this campaign on shoe leather, planning to knock on thousands of doors before November 7. If you're so led, send Ron a little blogosphere-style financial support, or if you're in the area, please volunteer!
