That's right, to hell with those guys that served in Iraq and came home with a big ding in their bucket. As the lead to this story in the
News & Observer makes clear
brain injuries are so common among U.S. troops that they're called the signature injury of the Iraq war. Well, who's fault is that? Not the wealthy! I think the Pentagon and Congress are on the right track when they decide to
cut military spending on researching and treatment of brain injuries. We must not sacrifice our tax cuts for good people like
Bill Gates,
Madonna,
Pamela Anderson, and that guy who makes
Girls Gone Wild videos just to help out a few screwballs from the Iraqi War.
Brain injuries are so common among U.S. troops that they're called the signature injury of the Iraq war, but Congress is poised to cut military spending on researching and treating them.
I think that's enough. Sure there is outrage to discuss and why they would even consider doing this, but isn't the above really enough? I mean, any sane person, that is, Democrat, knows that this is just more of the same from those who don't support the troops. They don't support the troops my friends and I wish our Democratic candidates would magically turn into bobble heads spouting out all the ways that they don't support the troops.
House and Senate versions of the defense appropriation bill would chop funding for the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center from $14 million to $7 million. The center runs 10 facilities across the country, including one at Fort Bragg that has performed research and treated soldiers' injuries since 1998.
Okay, I couldn't resist. Can you believe this shit?
"It's just ridiculous," said Sgt. Maj. Colin Rich, a Fort Bragg soldier who has been legally blind since he was shot in the head while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. "Whoever is cutting the budget must have a head injury themselves."
And, that, my friends, is nuff said. Go read the whole article, it will make your damn blood boil.
