Dear Mr. Jobs,
Greetings. I am a loyal Apple Computer owner with over 15 years of ownership of Apple computers and accessories. I am writing today to express my deep concern for your company's decision to air ABC's so-called "docudrama" entitled "The Path to 9/11" for free on your I Tunes Music Store.
I have learned from several media sources that this program deliberately distorts the facts pertaining to the events leading up to the attacks on September 11, 2001. Further, from what I have learned of its production thus far, the program was clearly conceived and written by partisan individuals, who more than likely have motives that supercede any objective account of historical facts.
While I feel that ABC has a First Amendment right to air whatever it wishes within the boundaries of the FCC; It is my strong belief that it is a core responsibility of your company to objectively deny additional exposure of "documentary" materials that are, or are perceived to be of a dubious or deceitful nature. Therefore I feel it my civic duty to beg of you to reconsider your plans to air this program on your music store.
Because I have always held your company in high regard, I feel that lowering your standards by aiding in the distribution of material that clearly falls short of the standards for objective and accurate historical accounts does you no service; but rather, would be an unwise and unhealthy decision for your company. And so, I urge you to reconsider your decision to offer this "documentary" on your I Tunes Music Store.
Despite your personal political beliefs or affiliations, I am sure that you would agree that the nation we both share is in a troubled political state. Because you represent one of the most prestigious companies worldwide, I feel it is as much your duty to uphold a high standard for the products you offer to as I felt it mine to write you this letter.
Thanks for your time; I am hopeful that you take my request under strong consideration.
Sincerely,
AGG
