I'll make this short and sweet. I'm 40ish, have three kids, am a working professional in the Bay Area, and am on the "near left." By that I mean I did not oppose the first Gulf War, supported the action in Afghanistan, and marched against the Iraq debacle. I even trend a little conservative economically (supported NAFTA but having a few second thoughts). Although I'm not the stereotyped "wild-eyed DKos liberal," I've been a member for years. I think there are millions of people like me, the dreaded "soccer 'rents" (yes, all three are in AYSO) whose support will make or break any planned action against ABC/Disney.
My survey question below...
I'm interested in true commitment on DKos for future action, now that this PR fraud, obviously
coordinated with Republican strategists, has aired. Minimally edited here but stunningly,
unchanged in other parts of the world. Options are action against ABC, Disney, and sponsors of the show. You can also throw in Apple in Pixar if you are hard core. Personally, I think Steve Jobs has minimal sway over this travesty and probably has let his feelings known in no uncertain terms (full disclosure: I do a little contract work for Apple).
Anyway, I've posted a survey below just to get a feeling where parents are at with their commitment to action. I know where I stand. Where do YOU draw the line?
