I sent off a letter to the editor this morning, I hope the publish it. Anyone else send a letter recently?
Actually, I think this is a little too long, but what the heck.
To The Editor,
In many of the op-ed pages people are saying President Bush is politicizing 9/11. I really would not mind the politicization of 9/11 if so many of the President's policies were not such an utter failure: he failed to catch the people responsible for 9/11; the mistakes made in Iraq (a distraction from the War on Terror) are too numerous to count; the failure to respond effectively to Hurricane Katrina; domestic policies that only benefit only the wealthiest Americans; bribery and corruption that is apparently running rampant through the president's party and he says nothing about it.
When I look at this administration a cannot find a glimmer of hope that they even know what they are doing. If the November election is a referendum on the Bush Administrations policies and the Republican Congress' willingness to go along, only one word effectively describes it, Failure.
Failure, Failure, Failure. Eventually, there must be some accountability.
If the American people are tired of failure and a lack of accountability, then they should vote for the Democratic Party. The Democrats may have their problems but at least they are not a complete disaster when they are in power.
