Sandra Bullock's husband,
Jesse James, was referring to W. alone when he
criticized...
...GEORGE W BUSH, calling the leader "a d##khead". The motorcycle maker visited American soldiers outside Baghdad, Iraq - and is convinced the majority of the US military agree with him. James says, "Everyone in Iraq knows Bush is a d##khead. He's the boss' kid. "Everybody I know who has a successful business who has a kid - the kid is always a f##khead. Have you ever noticed that?"

But, IMHO, James has pegged something bigger than just Bush. I think he may have answered the NUMBER ONE question in American politics today, which is:
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY?!!!
Before James' said this, the best explanation I have seen came from
Garrison Keillor, who recalled an earlier GOP:
You might not have always liked Republicans, but you could count on them to manage the bank. They might be lousy tippers, act snooty, talk through their noses, wear spats and splash mud on you as they race their Pierce-Arrows through the village, but you knew they could do the math.
And then compared them to now:
So here we are at an uneasy point in our history, mired in a costly war and getting nowhere, a supine Congress granting absolute power to a president who seems to get smaller and dimmer...
And offered this explanation:
It is painful to look at your father and realize the old man should not be allowed to manage his own money anymore. This is the discovery the country has made about the party in power. They are inept. The checkbook needs to be taken away. They will rant, they will screech, they will wave their canes at you and call you all sorts of names, but you have to do what you have to do.
In other words, the GOP has gone senile.
As much as I admire Garrison (VERY much), I think James has figured it out better. And James' answer, when applied to the GOP overall is this:
The Republican alpha-male leadership is gone, replaced by their d#ckhead kids.
That's it. We are being ruled by a gaggle of rich, whiney, d#ckheads--and the media empire they rode in on. It's not that grandpa can't balance the checkbook. The problem is that Master Grandson has never SEEN a checkbook, and all that "fuzzy math" makes him snippy. Money is that stuff they give you. If you need more, someone should GIVE you more. That's how life works!
And thus the torch has passed: From a George Sr., "born with a silver foot in his mouth," to George Jr., born with a silver coke spoon up his nose.
I don't want to clog up the internet tubes with too much analysis here, but maybe some psych student might consider Bush's dissing of "Track-House Tom" DeLay. And maybe somebody can write a thesis on "George's Bush and Allen; filling a Famous Daddy's Shoes by Playing Dress-Up with Uniforms."
The more I think about it, the more I think it may be true. I wonder if Mr. James does political consulting?
