[9:00 AM 9/16 Update - this diary was originally posted to alert Kogs to call-in during early morning C-SPAN segment - Brief update on show below the jump]
C-SPAN is on a Plamegate roll - this morning (9/15)
Novacula was taking calls on Washington Journal - the C-SPAN designated topic of discussion?
C.I.A. Leak.
Tomorrow at 8:30 AM (eastern time) none other than rethug attorney Victoria Toensing is scheduled to take
your calls on the
CIA Leak Investigation.
Find a taste from Toensing's disgusting WJS op-ed, plus call in #'s and more below the jump.
During today's Novacula segment Brian Lamb referred to Toensing recitation of rethug talking points recently published in the WSJ:
What a Load of Armitage!
Richard Armitage has finally emerged from the cover-my-backside closet, "apologizing" on CBS for keeping quiet for almost three years about being the original source for Robert Novak's July 14, 2003 column stating that Joe Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, worked for the CIA and had suggested him for a mission to Niger. He disingenuously blames his silence on Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald's non-legally based request -- any witness is free to talk about his or her testimony -- not to discuss the matter.
Put aside hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer funds squandered on the investigation, New York Times reporter ...
— Victoria Toensing, WSJ
C-SPAN has three lines for viewer calls - usually designated thusly:
Support Democrats: (202) 737-0002
Support Chimpy McDryDrunk: (202) 737-0001
Support Others: (202) 628-0205
They also have a webform for submitting questions online.
Around the time that Novacula was raving about David Corn, Brian Lamb said that Corn would be a guest on Washington Journal - I think that he said that Corn is scheduled for Monday morning, but at the time of this writng the time of the Corn call-in segment is not yet posted on the C-SPAN schedule.
I hope that you'll continue to inform yourselves & ask great questions.
Update: Toensing started off by going after Fitz - Why? Because "there was no crime." Why no crime? Because Valerie Plame Wilson's employment status was "not covert". "She was working at Langley not overseas." "Since she worked at Langley, folks knew that she worked for the CIA." Right everyone who followed her from home to work knew she worked at Langley. Blah blah blah - same ol' reheshed rethug talking points. Including a charge that she made in her WSJ op-ed, it was really David Corn who outed Valerie Wilson because novakula only wrote that she was an "operative".
The cherry on top came at the end of the show - when asked about chimpy's legislation changing the definition of torture, Toensing backed chimpy all the way & started her rationale by referring to Islasmo Fascists or was it Islamic Fascists? (I think it was the latter)
