Recently the Nancy Boyda Campaign released internal polling data which reported that if the election were held on Sept. 11th, Nancy Boyda would of won a very close race.
In a district that holds four universities (Kansas State University, Kansas University, Emporia State University, and Pittsburg State University), there is tremendous potential for this district to turn back to the Blue.
Kansas is in play this year to potential gain another seat in the House. As The Topeka Capital Journal reports the polling data as thus:
A Topeka firm, ASA Marketing/Infomark Research, produced an opinion survey indicating Boyda would have captured 42.5 percent of the vote against Ryun's 41.2 percent if the election had been held Sept. 11.
While most likely in the margin of error, it does show that this race is competitive and should money begin to flow, Nancy Boyda would have a tremendous chance of unseating Jim Ryun. Further more, with this internal polling, there are 16% of the voters that remain undecided.
