I could only take so much of President Bush's press conference Friday around noon, particularly after a reporter pressed him about Pakistan's "treaty" with warlords and tribes in the region where bin Ladin is suppose to be hiding.
Bush said that there was not much we could do about this because Pakistan "is a sovereign country."
I had to turn off the t.v. because all I could think about is what about Iraq and what about Afghanistan? While we may have had a revenge justification for Afghanstan after 9/11, wasn't that a central government harboring terrorists in an area with warlords? And with Iraq -- we just went in and invaded a sovereign country, albeit one we had differences with, on the basis of lies.
